Welcome to our piece of Hawaii, right here in the Midwest.
Norman Franco is a native of up-country Maui and has been helping put on luaus for over 60 years! He started at the age of 7 gathering palm tree fronds and vines for decorations, fishing for fresh seafood, learning the proper food preparation skills and his family recipes, sharing aloha and good times with everyone, all the way to serving delicious Hawaii food to you right here, right now, in Wisconsin!
When he moved to the mainland, Norman wanted to share a little Hawaii with everyone he could. For over 15 years he owned and operated Hawaiian International Celebrations, a business that provided authentic Hawaiian food, along with island décor and entertainment that transformed any venue into a piece of Hawaii. From his base in Plover, Wisconsin Norman and his team provided luaus from New York to Washington State, for groups of 40 to 1,400!
During COVID, Norman worked with local Central WI businesses and the Board of Health to transform his cargo trailer into a full-service food truck. His new business, Hawaiian Plate Lunch LLC, is licensed as a complete commercial mobile kitchen by the State of Wisconsin and passed inspection in Portage County. The food trailer serves clients in Plover, Stevens Point, and the greater Central Wisconsin area and can produce hundreds of Hawaiian inspired meals per day. In addition, the business rents out authentic Hawaiian props, including Tiki Bars, Coconut and Palm Trees, Bamboo Walls, Surfboards, Hawaiian Art, and Tropical Floral Arrangements.
Hawaiian Plate Lunch LLC, Norman, and his team look forward to bringing a piece of Hawaii to you this summer at Central Wisconsin Fairs and Events AND working with you to plan and deliver a unique and fun wedding, birthday, graduation, retirement, or other celebration Hawaiian Style.
